Identity V Persona 5 Royal Collab Event Release Date
The Identity V Persona 5 Royal collab event isnât too far off now with a slated release date for August 2nd, 2024. On August 2nd, weâll see the release of the first Essence (part) of the Persona 5 Royal event similar to its initial release, featuring the same characters and rewards.

Returning Identity V Persona 5 Collectibles
For now, we do know that the event is a re-run so we can expect the same rewards for both Parts of the crossover event. This includes âEssence Iâ skins and rewards and âEssence IIâ skins and rewards.
We donât have details on whether both parts will be available simultaneously or if itâll follow the same pattern from the previous event which segmented the two one after the other. Meaning, we can expect Part 1 to definitely arrive on August 2nd, with the possibility of Part 2 skins and rewards arriving later in the month.
That said, here are the re-run rewards expected for both Part 1 and Part 2 of the Identity V Persona 5 Royal crossover:
Identity V Persona 5 Royal Crossover Essence I
- Ren Amamiya (Joker)
- Yusuke Kitagawa (Fox)
- Ann Takamaki (Panther)
- Ryuji Sakamoto (Skull)
IDV Persona 5 Royal Crossver Essence II
- Goro Akechi (Crow)
- Haru Okumura (Noir)
- Futaba Sakura (Oracle)
- Makoto Niijima (Queen)
Each Costume features the colorful Identity V Persona 5 cast in their everyday outfits whereas the âAwakened Costumeâ will feature the characters in their Phantom Thieves get up. But youâll need to use the event-exclusive âSouls of Resistanceâ currency to unlock the’ Awakened Costume’ versions of the skin.
Both Jokerâs and Crowâs S-Tier Awakened Costumes require 30 Souls of Resistance to unlock while the rest require only 10 Souls of Resistance to âAwakenâ.
Oh and letâs not forget that each character also has a Matching Accessory available, along with plenty of crossover-exclusive Emotes, Portraits, Graffiti, and Furniture.
The IDV Persona 5 âRoyalâ Crossover
While everything is shaping up to be a simple crossover re-run, there is something to note about the event. Namely this time, rather than just the base Identity V Persona 5 crossover event we received back in 2019, this is a Persona 5 âRoyalâ crossover.
For those out of the loop, Persona 5 Royal was the enhanced re-release version of the game and expanded the base experience with new characters, content, locations, and missions.
While we havenât received any word on additional crossover content coming to Identity V, considering the new characters in the âRoyalâ version of the game, we might see additional character skins, costume variants, and rewards.
Namely, for the latest party member from the Royal version of the game, Sumire Yoshikawa (Violet), and school counselor Takuto Maruki.
